I am a firefighter for Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Department. I have worked as a firefighter for 16 years. I am married to my dear wife and we have three boys. I decided to be a peer supporter to help my fellow brothers and sisters in their time of need and to encourage and support any way I can.
I have been employed by the Monument Police Department for the past year and a half. I am a native of Colorado and attended Colorado State University where I received my degree in Criminal Justice. During my time at College, I worked for Campus Connections mentoring troubled youth. These experiences along with life and work have helped fuel my desire to provide support to my peers.

Hi, I'm Carrie. I've been a paramedic for 20 years and with Tri-Lakes Monument Fire for 5. I love traveling, yoga and spending time with my kids, ages 9 and 7. I am divorced and remarried. My husband is a veteran and retired from another fire department for PTSD. I have seen too many times first hand, in others and myself, the effects this job can have on someone. Between the calls we run and the side of life we see it can affect all parts of our lives and our families. I joined peer support because I want to give back to the career I love and co-workers who are a second family.
Hi, my name is Timothy Johnson. I work for the Monument Police Department. I have 20 years of military experience along with 17 years of Law enforcement experience. In my free time I enjoy riding my motorcycle and spending time with family. I have learned a lot in my careers and want an opportunity to help those through some of the struggles I have experienced myself.

I grew up in Atlanta, relocated to Colorado for college, and have been here ever since. I joined the peer support team in 2021, which seemed like a good role for me having served as Wescott’s chaplain in the past. I have appreciated fellow firefighters coming alongside of me when I have had work and personal life struggles in the past, and I want to be available to others to share in the good and bad of life and the job together.

Prior to this I spent 20 years in the military where I retired in 2018. I have been married for almost 20 years and have a 15-year-old son. During my time in the military, I was involved in the personal and professional lives of the servicemembers I was responsible for and to, both at home, and overseas. I want nothing more than to help my peers in anyway that I can, whether it’s a walk, a talk or a session of range therapy.

I am a Lieutenant and have been with Tri-Lakes Monument Fire for over 12 years and before that I was with Cimarron Hills Fire for 11 years. I have been married for 29 years and have 3 children. I have experienced loss both on and off the job and rely on God and others to share, cope, and heal over time instead of continuing to stuff things down inside. Don’t feel like you are alone in your stress. I joined the peer support team to ensure others don’t have to feel alone in their experiences.

I have been a Paramedic with Tri-Lakes Monument for 5 years and prior to that I worked at Flight for Life specializing in pediatrics but left when the kids really got to me. I have been through a divorce but have been remarried for 10 years and I have a 14-year-old daughter. I became interested in Peer Support after being called to the Aurora Theater Shooting. Healing from that personally and helping others around me highlighted a greater need in our profession, not only after major events, but in day-to-day life as well.
I have been with TLMFPD since 2013. I have been married to my wife Naomi for 15 years and we have three kiddos...Kinsley (10), Cole (7), and Austin (5). I joined the Peer Support Team because I believe we are meant to help carry each other's burdens in community rather than in isolation. None of us are immune to the challenges of life

I joined the Peer Support Team because I believe we are meant to help carry each other's burdens in community rather than in isolation. None of us are immune to the challenges of life, both professionally and personally. It is my desire for people to know they are seen, heard, and valued no matter their life circumstances.
